Mike Hughes recently left the Police
service on completion of 30 years service. Particularly over the
last 10 years he has gained very varied experience; operationally
as a district commander; as a specialist diversity trainer;
learning and development manager, and as an HR
manager.
He has also worked extensively in the
project environment where he successfully delivered large IT
projects as well as change management work such as migrating to a
single control room, or working with regional partners to maximise
opportunities in occupational health and other
processes.
For the last two years he has worked with
the National Policing Improvement Agency Capability Support Unit to
provide support to client forces at a strategic level in areas such
as reviews of operational capability and organisational
restructure.
He holds a Further and Adult Education
Teacher's Certificate and is a current practitioner for Office of
Govt Commerce PRINCE2 and Managing Successful Programmes. Mike is
security cleared at CTC until 2015
